SMART BULLETS
Precision. Not Poison.
Dr. Bob Schenter believed the future of cancer treatment was not destroying the entire body with radiation or chemotherapy — but targeting the cancer cell directly.
He called medical isotopes:
“Smart Bullets.”
Tiny radioactive particles engineered to seek, attack, and destroy cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.
Decades before precision medicine became mainstream, Dr. Schenter championed targeted isotope therapies for cancer, bone pain, arthritis, and other diseases — believing many treatments could be performed safely on an outpatient basis.
His greatest passion became Alpha Emitters, especially Actinium-225 (Ac-225), which he believed represented the next generation of cancer treatment.
To Dr. Schenter, Smart Bullets were more than science.
They were hope.
